Our Sacred Story

Strays of Hope was founded on the belief that every animal is a sacred being deserving of love, compassion, and a second chance. Located on the beautiful Big Island of Hawaiʻi, our sanctuary is more than just a shelter—it's a place of healing and spiritual renewal.

Our mission is guided by the principles of sacred stewardship. We see ourselves not as owners, but as caretakers on each animal's journey. We provide comprehensive medical care, emotional rehabilitation, and a peaceful environment for them to thrive until they find their forever 'ohana.

We are a 508(c)(1)(A) religious nonprofit, and our work is a reflection of our spiritual commitment to all living creatures.
